I know no more than is mentioned in the issue.

(Please be a little careful slinging "you"s around.  It wasn't me who
sent the emails, and as far as there is an "organising cabal", you're
part of it too).

I'm not exactly happy about the situation either.  But as we all want
the same thing (a happy succesful conference, etc), can you try to
keep the criticism a little constructive?

You could stick your head into IRC (irc.freenode.net, #europython) and
ask there.
