Hey Tom,

I understand you were angry, but next time you want to flame please
vent it in private if you want to do it at all -- this was not very 
constructive and not polite at all.

Marc-Andre was making a few constructive suggestions in his mail and
he was clear he didn't want to blame you (or anyone) personally. Some
of the suggestions we already thought of before of course (many
are in the issue tracker).

I understand we all feel stressed out over this topic, and the loss of
the talk database is a major pain. And of course things should've been
tested better before the upgrade, and when it went wrong this should've
been found out and reported to the rest of us *at that point*; I'm
still not clear on why we had to be in the dark for a day.

Anyway, Tom's not to blame for any of this anyway, and I guess it's only
because you're feeling responsible for it all anyway that you respond 
so aggressively.
