Yes, that works, and I think it's easier to understand as well.  Go
ahead and check it in.

I played with that a little bit last night, but lost my patience at
about that time.  So I didn't get back to it.  I can spend a little
time on that today.

I haven't actually spent any time with the benchmarks yet; have you?
I'll try to get to that as well; it would be nice to know if we get
any actual benefits.
