[Expat-discuss] Shall i use expat for Linux machines ?How !

Hi,
 
   I downloeded the expat-1.95.8.tar.gz and installed in the Linux machine. But i found all directories are having .dsp or .dsw files mostly.
So that i got confused really. Shall i use this on Linux machines? if yes, how can i use to parse the xml file.Plz give guidence to me.
