I've already fixed this problem in my copy; as well as a few other
niggling bugs with windowmanager interaction.  Would you like patches?

I'd really like to know that too.  I am slowly but surely forking my
personal copy of IDLE away from the mainstream distribution, and I'm sure
that I'm duplicating work that someone else will have to do eventually.
