Initial Comment:
In help.txt, the following:

Other preferences:

	To change the font on Windows, open 
EditorWindow.py and change
	    text['font'] = ("lucida console", 8)
	to, e.g.,
	    text['font'] = ("courier new", 10)
---------------------------------

should be replaced by this:
---------------------------------
Other preferences:

	To change the font open config-
[win/unix/mac].txt and change
           font-name: courier new
           font-size: 10
	to, e.g.,
           font-name: courier new bold
           font-size: 14
---------------------------------

It is surely better for the user to change a 
preference file than to change EditorWindow.py!
