Initial Comment:
Example: I wish to open the module PyShell.
I have a module open in an edit window and
I highlight PyShell in "import PyShell"

When I press Ctrl-x (to be followed by 
Ctrl-m) the highlighted text is erased.  (Undo
will restore it.)

Ctrl-x works correctly in Python-idle.  

Linux/Gnome. CVS MAIN as of today.
