There were a total of four instances where the comparison against 'win' 
also matched 'darwin'.  Additionally, I had to change the sources to 
configHelpSourceEdit to accept file:// URI's and to prepend file:// for 
local files on Darwin.  Apparently whenever you launch Safari with a 
local file it must be fully-qualified URI.  Ungh.

All of these changes are included in a patch submitted against bug #900580.
