[PYTHON IMAGE-SIG] The img library

Hi,
I've just subscribed and I didn't check the archive yet (so I don't
know whether anyone else already mentioned it), but I guess I should
start with a plug for my set of image modules, "img". The current
distribution, in <ftp://ftp.cwi.nl/pub/jack/python/img-1.0>, is
version 1.2 (despite the directory name:-).

There are modules there to read and write a number of image formats
(gif, tiff, pbm, sgi) and automatically convert them to a format that
is suitable for your program. I haven't put much work into it
recently, and there's some stuff I'd like to redesign, but it may be a
starting point.
