[Image-SIG] Has anyone made a TWAIN interface?

I have an application in which I would like to scan in some images from a
sheet fed scanner and then manipulate them, make thumbnails etc.  I use
python extensively now, but have not as yet used PIL.  I need to control the
scanner and was wondering if anyone had made a TWAIN interface (for Win32).
Is this in the works or did I miss it in the PIL documentation?  It seems
like a natural step, since you can acquire all kinds of images through a
TWAIN interface.
