[Image-SIG] Getting Image resolution ?

Hello,

Is there a way to find out the resolution of a saved image?

I have a bunch of GIF's/JPEG's/TIFF's and I need to know what DPI they =
were
scanned as ... i.e. 300dpi and so on ...

I'm hoping ot use this information and their pixel size to calculate =
their
"real" paper size.
