[Image-SIG] draw.text problem

Don't know if it helps, but i'm using the latest
versions of freetype and PIL currently available
in gentoo linux, which are

  dev-python/imaging-1.1.4
  media-libs/freetype-2.1.5-r1
  > freetype-config --version
  9.4.3

I also unmasked and installed freetype 2.1.7 and
2.1.9, but then PIL doesn't compile (which is
why they are masked obviously). Also earlier
versions of PIL do not compile against freetype
2.1.5.
