I've noticed that the lens type can be fetched too, but the method
depends on the camera manufacturer (so basically on the make field).

For example, for canon, the lenses are enumerated, see:

...not that I've tried this (who knows, maybe such non-core tags are
stripped by some software so are only guaranteed on camera raws), or
know of camera/lense mappings that are authoritative, or include other
companies.
