import Image, ImageDraw, ImageFont
im = Image.open(somefilename)
draw = ImageDraw.Draw(im)
font = ImageFont.load(somefont), or font = ImageFont.truetype(somefont,
size) for truetype fonts
draw.text(whatever the parameters are, check out the documentation for
imagedraw, font=font, fill=somecolor)
something like that.
