[Image-SIG] Problem with psd and Alpha

I seem to remember that there are two versions of the psd file format,
a newer version and a version used with the numbered versions. Is your
file a newer or older version? also, have you verified that the alpha
channel is there by opening the file in another program (ie
photoshop).
