[Image-SIG] ANN: PIL 1.2 pre-alpha (January 8, 2011)

Hello,

That's good news.

In CHANGES.txt file, one can read :
+ Added support for reading 16-bit RGB TIFF files.

Does PIL 1.2 internally manages 16bit per pixel or does it still uses 
8bit per pixel ?
