Ramdas, here's a tl/dr version of your post:
A) People pay for a conference to have a good conference.
B) They pay for a conference so that IPSS has money for
other activities (increasing the pool of available python
programmers in India with <1 year of experience)
You say B.
A) Invited speakers from abroad add value to the conference.
B) They are invited to boost our egos.
You say B.
A) The conference pays for the invited speakers' travel,
etc.
B) The conference pays python-evangelists' travel (to the
conference? or to evagelize more?)
You say B.
That said, most people seem to choose option A for these
questions, but I guess it is up for discussion.
