A collared t-shirt is usually a polo t-shirt, made with a different weave
of cloth. Polo t-shirts aren't suitable for printing, so you'll need to get
artwork embroidered. This makes them look more professional, but it also
severely limits the artwork possible.

Polo t-shirts are often made of synthetic material to reduce cost. This
unfortunately makes them very uncomfortable in the summer (unlike dry-fit
t-shirts, which are also synthetic material). I have a whole stack of
Barcamp Bangalore t-shirts that I can only wear in the winter.

For a corporate delegate, a collarless t-shirt may be unacceptable at work.
This is usually the main reason for preferring them.
