I recommend doing all that here. More visibility and an active list has
useful network effects. Private groups will die sooner or later. This
list has a large number of members. Use that to your advantage. If
someone volunteers just for one tiny thing, that's one less thing for
the rest of the team to worry about and one new volunteer for the
project. This won't happen on a tiny private list.
