They also don't have a consistent naming either. One ends with "Camp",
another with "Unconference", some end with city names while others use
state names.

I am sure they have their own reasons for the conference names.

This has to be answered by the organizers of the conference.

What works in one region, does not necessarily have to work in
another. Most of the time, it has to do with what people in a given
locality decide.
