[Inpycon] CFP/Session workgroup Meeting minutes | 20180419

Attendees: Vijaykumar, Anand C, Jaidev, Nithin, Chirag, TK Sourabh,
Ramanathan.


1. A discussion was done on the topics for the CFP opening.  It was agreed
to go ahead with the topics that were used in the last year.  Tracks will
be finalized based on the proposals received.

2. Talk selection criteria - Based on the talk selection committee's
discretion, also by taking public votes as a dimension.  A discussion on
encouraging first time speakers was done - the first time speaker could be
mentored as required.  Relevance, Clarity, and Potential of the talk would
be some important parameters of evaluation.

3. A brief discussion on stage time for Gold, Silver and startup sponsors
was considered.  The CFP WG will consider the feasibility of this alongside
ensuring proper timing of these (if decided to be done).

4. The platinum sponsors get a sponsored talk time.  The exact hall details
of this need to be fleshed out in the future meetings.

5. CFP will be opened this week.  It will be announced there might be more
information shared in next 2-3 weeks about the fine print of selection
process, Guidelines, etc,.
