A conference like PyCon is large in terms of logistics, crowd, talks,
venue etc. It needs months of careful planning. Also prior experience
running a mini conference - like PySangamam, HydPy, PyDelhi etc -
usually helps.

You should start with trying to organize a mini conference - PyCon
Punjab or PyCon Himachal for example - get the experience and then think
about organizing the larger one.
