Got it, thanks.  I just got a bit confused with your initial email.  The file 
on the site now has your new ipython.el along with the old patched python-mode 
you'd given me a while back (CVS $Revision 4.22, along with your changes). 
That one has worked just fine for me for a long time, so unless anyone sends 
along a blend of your fixes with the current python-mode, this will do just fine.
