Ok so will take a look at it.
I haven't called Ipython instance with wthread support. Perhaps it is
possible.. who know ;)
I've just tried ipython with -wthread and I see what you want. Will dig this
because it's really interesting for GUI dev!

If see any other use case of ipython that is not covered tell me it because
I'm used to play with ipython simple mode :)
(like '?' only etc...)
