[IPython-dev] exe installer + vista

Has anyone succeeded in running the exe installer in Vista recently? I
just tried it, and get a series of error dialogs, and no start menu
shortcuts are created.

I did not have time to seriously look into the issue, but if need be
we should make some workaround, or just suggest the vista users to
choose the source distribution.
