[IPython-dev] Bzr install under vista + bzr olive-gtk

Hi Alexander,
You are the maintainer of the .exe version??
In fact I've felt in some problem installing the .exe.
Sorry for my previous email, it was more a warning on my usage case than a 'these guys have done a bad job'!
So let me explain my problems (and perhaps you will tell that I've done somethng bad!), if not let's find solutions to improve things :)

I've used bazar first installing bazar with the .exe install. (1.3 version)
It added bzr here in the context menu when you right click on a directory.
Since the install the context seemed sluggish, AND bugguy.
(perhaps it was a problem with my vista but uninstalling it resolved the problem.)
(I can retry if you want just to chek this) By bugguy I mean, that selecting an option in right click context menu made the action and made the menu appears an other time (!)

The instruction was good but:
GTK+ Runtime link is obsolete.(will modify it with one I found, it was really hard to found, well I was bad on this point...).

Bazaar Gui didn't worked at all with the bzr 1.3.0 .exe install.
What I saw was:
It created a directory in c:/program files/bazaar/
And the bazaar GUI install itself in c:/python25/lib/site-package/bazaar/plugins
But nothing else was in this directory the site-package/bazar one.
So the olive gtk didn't work at all.
Using http://bazaar-vcs.org/MariusKruger#head-e234ddc518938afb140793d47320a2bee0b6c8aa I uninstalled the .exe version and installed a recent python install version (setup install.py) and then olive-gtk worked.

The .Bat file works fine. I've done a .ico if you want it to add it somewhere to have a beautifull shortcut.

How and last problem I encoutered, don't know why bit I had to add:
libglade-2.0-0.dll
libxml2.dll
rename zlib1.dll into zlib.dll
in C:\Program Files\GTK2-Runtime\lib
To make olive-gtk work.
I must have missed something there...

Ok I've not tried this olive-gtk.exe perhaps mixing bzr.exe with olive-gtk.gz install was a bad idea, but the wiki don't warn about this.

It will be nice if you put the copy of your instruction to http://bazaar-vcs.org.

Can you tell me is this instructions is wrong or not good enough?

QBzr GUI is compatible with bzr.exe. Of course, it's not the GTK one.

IMO, it's not true. Here is package of bzr-gtk compatible with bzr.exe:

There is bzr-gtk-0.93.0 release only, but I don't follow bzr-gtk development,
so I'm not sure what's latest release is.

I don't understand this warning. Can you explain it a bit more?
