I should add that anyone who prefers to simply reinstall the fixed
version without manually fixing anything, can use github to download
(in zip or tar format) Paul's fixed branch from here:

http://github.com/ivanov/ipython/archives/fix185

That link will give you an automatically generated archive of Paul's
fixed branch without needing to use git itself for anything on your
side.  The joys of github...
