Yes, in fact the first time I noticed it not working, it took me a
minute to realize why not, and I don't think it would be immediately
obvious to a user who isn't familiar with how the internal pieces fit
together (who sees what data, who serves http vs executing code, etc).

Great, thanks for the feedback.  I think it's indeed possible and
useful, and I don't see any major hurdles to implementing it.  It's
just an extra URL handler to write in the app.  Let's see if anyone
notices any reason why we should absolutely not do this, and otherwise
we'll put it in the todo list for 0.13.
