[IPython-dev] New display system submitted for review

Hi,

I just submitted a pull request for the new display system:

https://github.com/ipython/ipython/pull/243

This involved a huge number of significant changes and will need a
good shake out.  Would love comments on the design.  I am attaching
two files that show some of the capabilities.
