Hi,
it would be better when the ppa mirrors the version in debian:
http://packages.qa.debian.org/p/pyzmq.html
This version is already available in debian testing and ubuntu oneiric
(11.10)
I was planning on requesting an official backport of zmq to natty soon.
Having two different packages of the same software will be confusing.
PS: The debian version is available in my experimental ppa

(*experimental* ppa use at own risk, for ipython you only need zeromq
and libpgm)
