[IPython-dev] experimental ipython 0.11rc1 debian/ubuntu package

The package is now also in debian experimental.

To install it:
echo "deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian experimental main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/experimental.list
apt-get update
apt-get install -t experimental ipython ipython-qtconsole ipython-parallel ipython-doc

but beware that will pull some dependencies from
experimental which might break your system.

Some packages [0] will have reduced functionality
when installing ipython 0.11 (no embedded shells etc.).
Any help in porting them is greatly appreciated.
For some ipython functions used it is not clear to me whether
they still exist in 0.11.
e.g. IPython.Shell.Term.{cin,cerr,cout} (exaile)
IPython.genutils (accerciser, pytango, pudb)

A wiki page on porting ipython 0.10 embedded shells to 0.11
might be a good idea.
