If you can let us know how to do that, we'd be glad to.  Applescript
hacks have been posted to do it on osx and for the default
terminal.app, I have no idea how to do that generically on arbitrary
terminal apps (there's easily a dozen on *nix, from old xterms to
things like terminator).
