Hi folks,

I'm happy to announce, on behalf of the whole team, the release of the
bugfix-only IPython 0.12.1 as our new stable version. This release
consists strictly of commits from the main development branch that
were back-ported over the 0.12 release, so no new code has been
written for this release that is not in the current git master (aside
from a few minor last-minute details that will be shortly merged).

Over 70 separate issues were closed (the final count is likely higher,
as we auto-generated the summary). The full list of these can be
found here:

http://ipython.org/ipython-doc/stable/whatsnew/github-stats-0.12.html

You can find downloads either on our page or on PyPI:

http://ipython.org/download.html
pypi.python.org/pypi/ipython

I'd like to thank everyone whose commits we merged for this release
(please let me know if we omitted your name, this list is
auto-generated from the git logs):

* anatoly techtonik
* André Matos
* Andrew Giessel
* Bradley M. Froehle
* Fernando Perez
* Matthew Brett
* MinRK
* Paul Ivanov
* Puneeth Chaganti
* Robert Kern
* Thomas Kluyver
* Thomas Spura
* Walter Doerwald
* wilsaj

and especially Min who did all the detailed work of cherry-picking the
~ 125 commits that went into this release.

As usual, please report any problems on our mailing list or our issue tracker.

Cheers,

f
