Oh believe me, if you google around I'm on record multiple times
saying some rather colorful things about MS tools, to the point of
having had to apologize to MS users on one of the IPython lists a few
years ago :)
But the Azure process really was pretty amazing. Keep in mind that I
did *everything* from a linux box, I spun up a remote linux box, SSH'd
in, configured the whole setup using linux tools, etc. The azure

was written as Markdown and we collaborated with MS over a shared
github repo, and then the video was recorded on my linux laptop using
gtk-recordmydesktop:

If you watched the MS web conference on Thursday where they 'rebooted'
Azure to the world, you'd see a MS VP doing demos from a Mac, doing
everything at the terminal and editing files in vi, and highlighting
how with one command you could create a website that was
pre-configured as a git repo so you could push to it. My jaw pretty
much dropped to the floor.
