[IPython-dev] Python and Javascript

Hi Cyrille,

just to add to what Brian said, here at Berkeley we're just getting
started with a new grant to use the IPython/JS machinery for
interactive visualization of neuroscience data (with emphasis on MRI,
mainly functional and diffusion).  We'll be working closely with a
team at Stanford's imaging center on this over the next few months,
and we'll post things here as they evolve.

As we start having concrete implementation discussions, some of that
will probably bubble up to our weekly public 'lab meetings', and we'd
be happy to have feedback from other teams tackling these same
questions.  As Brian indicated, our view is to fix our protocols as
needed until they can be used by a reasonably broad constituency,
including non-python backends.
