[IPython-dev] Front page updated, new notebook page made

Hi folks,

I have a barrage of talks to give and questions keep coming up about
how our site doesn't really "explain what ipython is". We also didn't
really have an actual short summary page for what the notebook is...

So I just:

- added a more detailed and precise description of what "IPython is"
to the front page. It's a bit wall-of-text, which I don't like, but I
couldn't quite find a way to make it really really short while
actually explaining what we do.

- added a new notebook page (http://ipython.org/notebook.html). It's
not enough and a bit ugly (if I centered the image it broke page
layout on Chrome, so I left it with that ugly left-align). But at
least we have *something* that summarizes the main point and has links
to the more nifty things, like our examples or the new gallery.

By all means feel free to improve either of these. But with all the
presentations coming up, at least having something like this on our
landing site was really necessary.

Cheers,

f
