[IPython-dev] rant: "%matplotlib inline"

It's probably the wrong place to parametrize,
but would it be possible to just sbclass the
CPython 2/3 kernels?

e.g. CPython 2 (matplotlib), CPython3

Or would that encourage more incompatible notebooks
(without kernelspecs)?
