The short answer is, "no", and the question's not silly.  


You can minimize the window, but I suspect you want the whole Console window
to disappear.  The solution to this is a bit complicated, as you may have
guessed from the two flavors of CPython (python.exe and pythonw.exe).  It
can be done, and hopefully Jim will add this to his long wish list of
IronPython features.

IronPython winforms app.
