A buddy of mine needs to be able to build a COM server that gets exposed to SQL Server 2k5 (as part of the analysis services plug-in architecture). He needs to be able to consume a component that, to his knowledge, exposes only the IUnknown interface. He recalls that CPython had available to it a library that was able to interrogate IUnknown, and wonders if IronPython has that facility. IE, does tlbimp offer a (IUnknown)Component interface in the generated assembly? I've rarely dealt with COM, if ever, so I am unable to answer this myself.
