Thanks for the bug report Seo!  I've opened issue 16657 (http://www.codeplex.com/IronPython/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=16657) to track the bug.

IronPython 2.0 Beta 2.

>>> import re
>>> re.compile(r'^bar', re.M).search('foo\nbar') is not None
True
>>> re.compile(r'^bar(?m)').search('foo\nbar') is not None
False

Two expressions should produce the same result. This blocks Jinja, a
Python template engine.
