User pekkaklarck has proposed the issue:

"Initializing random.Random with None works fine with CPython and Jython but fails with SystemError on IronPython. Using random.Random() as well as random.seed(None) both work fine.
IronPython 2.7.3 (2.7.0.40) on .NET 4.0.30319.18444 (32-bit)
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
