User pekkaklarck has proposed the issue:

"Initializing random.Random with None works fine with CPython and Jython but fails with SystemError on IronPython. Using random.Random() as well as random.seed(None) both work fine.
IronPython 2.7.3 ( on .NET 4.0.30319.18444 (32-bit)
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.

>>> random.seed(None)
>>> random.Random()
<Random object at 0x000000000000002B>
>>> random.Random(None)
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
SystemError: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
