User slide_o_mix has commented on the issue:

"<p>This is partially fixed in d4c063, the now and utcnow methods are now class methods, however, the print is still incorrect, it prints datetime.datetime(...) instead of mydate(...). I can't find a way to get the python class name in the C# code that will give me mydate instead of datetime.</p>"
