[Linux-SIG] Introducing a Python launcher for *nix?

I wanted to reply with some comments, but then I realized I don't know
what's the purpose of this script. Why should one use it instead of `env
python` or python or python3 or any pythonX.Y?

If it's about letting users invoke any Python available (is pypy
included here, BTW?), then why do you need -2 or -3 or worse: -X.Y?

If it's meant to be used by developers, then they know much better than
us which interpreter they want.

If it's meant for administrators or shebangs, then HELL NO!
