I agree completely.  I think there's a lot we could improve here,
although it'll naturally be after 1.0.  This might include revision
control, higher level selection of template parts (e.g. checkboxes to
include certain sections), etc.  I don't have any bright ideas
though.

I've taken to never removing anything from the HTML.  I just comment
stuff out all over the place.
