I've got something like this running here, implemented as a generic
"metamember" mechanism. I think I posted some kind of description of
metamembers here earlier, have a look in the archives.
Anyway, I won't consider (backporting and) committing that part of my
tree until after 2.0 is out.

What do you mean when you say "filtering"? Do you have any ideas as
to what the configuration interface[1] for this should look like?

Why, one should delete the lists crossposted to, of course, to teach
those lusers to stop crossposting :-P
[1] I assume we'd want to have such a thing :)
