Using Mailman version 2.0rc1, the "confirmation of subscription --
request" and the first "welcome" message for a list contain the
following header fields (others fields OK)

- -------------- cut here ---->8 ---< head
List-Subscribe: <../../listinfo/test-2>,
	<mailto:test-2-request@florence.essential.org?subject=subscribe>
List-Id: <test-2.florence.essential.org>
List-Unsubscribe: <../../listinfo/test-2>,
	<mailto:test-2-request@florence.essential.org?subject=unsubscribe>
List-Archive: <http://florence.essential.org/mailman/private/test-2/>
- ---- 8<------- cut here ----------> tail

while other mails, including welcome messages for subsequent
subscribers seem OK as follows.

- -------------- cut here ---->8 ---< head
List-Subscribe: <http://florence.essential.org/mailman/listinfo/test-2>,
	<mailto:test-2-request@florence.essential.org?subject=subscribe>
List-Id: <test-2.florence.essential.org>
List-Unsubscribe: <http://florence.essential.org/mailman/listinfo/test-2>,
	<mailto:test-2-request@florence.essential.org?subject=unsubscribe>
List-Archive: <http://florence.essential.org/mailman/private/test-2/>
- ---- 8<------- cut here ----------> tail

My python skills are too infantile to see where it is that something
seems to fail to get initialized.
