This was the reason why I introduced 
SCRUBBER_DONT_USE_ATTACHMENT_FILENAME in Defaults.py in the latest CVS 
(Release_2_1-maint). You can set this True in mm_cfg.py and 
'attachment(-NNN)' will be used for the file name.
