Theoretically, you would be able to implement different backends for  
the appropriate interfaces so that some of the data comes out of LDAP,  
but I haven't gotten that far yet.

MM3 will have LMTP, perhaps as the preferred way to get messages into  
the incoming queue.  I hadn't thought about doing acceptance testing  
right there, but it's an interesting idea to think about.
