Mediator generalizes across decision-makers (human, program) and
applications (news, web forum).  But it's more specialized in the
context of list management, IMHO applicable only when the list agent
changes the content (other than prepending/appending brief "This is
the XXX list" notices).

I think the two headers have different roles.

The replacement for X-Mailman-Version and X-Mailer and User-Agent (in
Mailman usage) should be replaced by List-Agent (or folded into
User-Agent, but I prefer List-Agent for this purpose).

Should this post have gone to the bug instead?  (I might not have
bothered if so, but usually I'd be willing to update a bug if either a
policy is in place or explicitly requested.)
