hello,
I am not clear what is implemented at the moment?? I see in the CVS
code that some unicode text has now been implemented, and I have
heard mention that the idea is that the language will be selectable
per member. Does this mean that the translation is only focussed on
the built-in texts in mailman??

The texts that are in "template" are probably as critical (if not
more so) as the built-in texts. I dont know if you have plans to
change this, I would be willing to help. I suggest that either:
1: when a new list is generated with "newlist" all texts are copied
from "template" into "lists/xxxxx". The list now only uses these
versions, which can then be modified by the list administrator.

2: another possibility would be that mailman always searchs a list
for its text files, first in "lists/xxxx", and then if it not there
in "template".

I am looking forward to your comments
